Wells G and H Posed a Health Risk

The W.R. Grace plant in Woburn commenced operations (and presumably dumping) in 1960. Well G came on line in 1964, and Well H in 1967. Both were closed by the City of Woburn in 1979 after the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Quality Engineering sampled the water from Wells G and H and found dangerous concentrations of several VOC's, including TCE and other industrial solvents.
