Talk:The Harvard Extension Open Courseware Project

To figure out how to host an OCW site, we should probably establish what general needs an OCW site is likely to have.

For example, Wikia offers free MediaWiki hosting [1]. And the course wiki has definitely been one of the most useful pieces of CyberOne so far.

So, I'd like to join in this project. How to do so?--Rheppner 14:26, 9 October 2006 (EDT) So, I've just added myself. I'm writing the first "paper" about potential opposing views to our proposed project. Presumably, once we're all done with such papers, we should share our insights with one another and figure out how to deal with them.--Rheppner 13:16, 16 October 2006 (EDT)

Hi there Richard -- cool that you want to get involved, I was the one who started up the wiki page but I've been a bit distracted by a busy schedule, also as an extension student we're required to do projects inside Second Life so we're doing a Second-life version of the same thing. I did just upload a kickass podcast about OCW.. -- 22:46, 5 November 2006 (EST)

Guys, the OCW thing for for the Extension School sounds like a great idea. Currently I'm not enrolled in CyberOne; I'm sort of at-large. I am enrolled in the Extension School, just taking a different class. Anyway, if I can help with this project please let me know. I'm a top-notch Oracle developer and I've done a bunch of video editing on Avid; not that those things could be useful since I'm in Memphis, TN. If anyone can think of I way for me to help, I'd love to jump in. Thanks Toddwfloyd 11:02, 15 November 2006 (EST)
