Currently teaching "Civil Rights and Liberties" at  [http://www.binghamton.edu Binghamton], Geoff has previously taught "From the Obscene to the Divine," a class in First Amendment Law and Policy, and will be teaching the "Freedom of Speech Seminar" in the Spring 2007 semester, which class will focus on technological innovations in democratic governance.  He is looking forward to applying the knowledge of new technologies from CyberOne to the freedom of speech class.  Beyond teaching, Geoff is active as the advisor and coach of the BU Mock Trial Team, and a member of the BU Fencing Club.

A graduate of Wittenberg University, Class of 2002, and Harvard Law School, Class of 2005, Geoff was the financial director of the Harvard Law Record, as well as its food and wine critic. In addition, Geoff served as an Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. He daily laments the lack of good Indian cuisine in upstate New York.

Geoff's research interests include sua sponte decision-making by SCOTUS, the dynamics of appellate litigation from both the litigants' and the court's perspective, Evidence, Property, and Comparative Courts.

As a CyberOne participant, Geoff is the owner of the CyberOne: Open Access group in SL: he inviites all at-large and HES students to engage in the creative process.
