Put your Logo ideas or thoughts here:

The Fringe of Infringement: How similar to Harvard's seal can we get?

The latin translates as "Knowledge to Everyone" (at least that's what this English to Latin translator tells me)
  • Perhaps not the most imaginative design, but I think it suits the course. Or does it fit Harvard's [yet-to-be-created] OpenCourseware program better?
  • This is twenty minutes in Paint.net. It's also the best I've ever drawn. Anyone with real design skills want to make it better? Please? Pretty Please?
  • The globe image is from here.

A Necker Cube?

  • How about using the necker cube the way Wikipedia uses the sphere, only putting our own (legal) symbols on the sides? Lciaccio 23:02, 19 September 2006 (EDT)

I sort of like this idea myself -- 12:45, 6 October 2006 (EDT)

  • I like this idea a lot too. I don't have any design skills whatsoever, otherwise I'd take a stab at creating it myself. --Brianna MacDonald 10:55, 13 October 2006 (EDT)

Connected Dots / Hierarchical Structure

A dot inside a circle of connected dots, much like the hierarchal structure discussed in the lecture. If someone is really technically savvy, the dot could pulsate and send a charge that runs to each other dot...an animated logo for online use, static for a tshirt. Maybe the vertical lines should look like columns denoting the law school aspect.

  • Just in general, animation in logos is kind of a bad idea--makes the loading time longer, and can quickly get annoying =) ChristinaX 13:37, 18 September 2006 (EDT)
  • And, we should keep the double brackets - [[ ]] - because they're the symbol of it being a wiki, but I do think that putting a Necker Cube or the network of dots would work well in the middle. --Rheppner 13:59, 19 September 2006 (EDT)

Globe of People Holding Hands

How would something as simple as a globe of people holding hands? http://www.nerc.org/bulletin/20020201-files/peopleonglobe.GIF http://www.scottish-enterprise.com/globe-figures-225.jpg

CyberOne T-Shirt

Not a logo, but a possible shirt for the course from SL participant Grace McDunnough: "Law student? Fine by me!" Here's Ansible sporting it

A really simple design and now that i'm looking at it again I feel like I should use the wiki brackets on either side. But the idea is that the two circles intersect with the first larger circle creating the "C" in cyber and the second circle representing the "1". -- 12:45, 6 October 2006 (EDT) (oday)

  • Ooh, very cool. I like it. Now I'm torn between this and the Necker Cube idea...--Brianna MacDonald 10:56, 13 October 2006 (EDT)
