Project Timecode!

Please help us make highlight videos that will be shown on Cambridge Community Television, at other public access stations, and everywhere on the internet!

All you need to do is:

-Note changes in the topic of class discussion/lecture, interesting quotes, etc.

-Use an external player (so you can see the time) and note these interesting portions (i.e. hr:min:sec).

-Put your notes on the Video Timecode page.

-A few of us (HES & At-Large Participants) want to help give the course some more structure.  We'll be meeting on Berkman Island at 9:30 on Tuesday, October 10.  Our hope is to work with the instructors to shape the course as a freely-available educational experience.  Everyone is welcome to come and discuss, so be prepared to take action afterwards!

-FOR OUR NEXT MEETING, same place as this past week same time, the at-large discussion might want to center around some structure: What are we looking for, how are we going to find it?  The participants in the last discussion expressed interest in two main directions: 1) discussions of the class readings (we think they are fascinating!); and 2) discussion of how to use these new technologies in our teaching.  Most of the at-large participants in attendance are profs or university employees in various contexts (a very curious phenomenon).  Can these resources better connect us to our students?  Are they especially useful in achieving a university's mission (education, personal devlopment, creation of innovative ideas)?
-So let's meet next time, SEE ABOVE FOR DETAILS, with ideas on these two topics.  Of course, we can always meet at other time to discuss new topics as well!
