Lime Survey
- This survey has been sent to each of the United States' Department of Energy, Energy Frontier Research Centers (EFRCs). The survey was designed by Carolina Rossini, Research Fellow, and Silas Bauer, Research Associate from the Industrial Cooperation Project at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, Harvard. The purpose of our research is to determine the level of "openness" or "closedness" of the research conducted in companies, institutions, and DOE labs in the alternative energy technology industry. By asking the following questions we are trying to determine if the research being conducted at one of the initial 46 EFRC is more open or more closed in regard to the level of information sharing and use of intellectual property arrangements. We were also looking for data on any knowledge sharing guidelines/rules that may be attached to the public funding the EFRC received from the US government through the DOE.
