Not a TPM under 1201 as it doesn't control access to
a copyrighted work.
1201(a)(3)(B)
a technological measure ''effectively controls access to a work'' if the 
measure, in the ordinary course of its operation, requires the application 
of information, or a process or a treatment, with the authority of the 
copyright owner, to gain access to the work. 

Won't iDVD work (minus the ability to actually burn a DVD) without a DVD
writer? If so, the ``circumvention measure'' doesn't change access to iDVD,
just extends it's capabilities.


Does the company distribute a modified version of iDVD, or does
it ship a patch that modifies software the user has already 
acquired?
