"MGM/UA and Danjaq have a zero-tolerance policy towards anyone who tries
to trade in
on the James Bond franchise without authorization," says an MGM
spokesperson.
I wonder if the title was released in Variety earlier. MGM's C&D is timed
to to maximum financial damage and it's rare that the title of a film
doesn't hit the trades months before the release. For some reason they
didn't object to "The Spy who Shagged Me" which CLEARLY is a parody of
"The Spy Who Loved Me".... ....I'm beginning to get a zero-tolerance for
people or companies with no sense of humor :-)

The owners of the 007 rights have got a C&D against naming the 3rd
installment of the Austin Powers series "Austin Powers: Goldmember" --
too close to "Goldfinger"
I always thought for parody to work, the allusion have to be clear.
Unless of course these IP lawyers don't know their "member"s from their
"finger"s....
