My guess is that it is merely marketing hype.  They
probably produce SVCD format.  VCD format was MPEG1
SVCD is MPEG2 ... which, as I recall, is also the
image format/resolution of DVDs.  I believe that many
movies are already available on SVCD ... but whether
SVCD holds as much as a DVD (which I doubt) or whether
you have to split a movie across two SVCDs, I dunno.
(Maybe sticking to the movie itself w/o all of the
bonus material is enough to bring most movies down
to the size that can fit on a single SVCD?  ...)
