Today a group of Minnesota citizens, originally organized to protest the
arrest of Dmitry Sklyarov, will announce a lecture series focusing on the
new face of intellectual property policy and technology. Specifically, the
speakers will address the implications of the DMCA's anti-circumvention
device language as it pertains to their area of expertise.
Two University of Minnesota professors have agreed to speak, along with
noted cryptographer Bruce Schneier. Two of the scheduled speakers were amici
in the Universal v. Corley appeal.
