Brigitte Fink

Senior Research Coordinator

Brigitte is a geopolitical and misinformation researcher who focuses on the distribution and impact of misinformation across social media platforms during election cycles. She is currently a Senior Research Coordinator at BKC and works on internet governance and digital infrastructure research projects for Professor Jonathan Zittrain. 

Prior to joining the Berkman Klein Center team, she worked at ActiveFence, a trust and safety start-up, where she led open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering and influencer mapping efforts to identify emerging geopolitical misinformation trends proliferating online. Brigitte managed teams monitoring elections in Europe, the United States, and the APAC region. Brigitte was previously a Yale Fox Fellow 2021-22 at Tel Aviv University, where she researched Sino-Israeli relations and the impact of the Digital Silk Road on the region and received an M.A. in Security and Diplomacy. She additionally served as a research assistant to Professor Paul Kennedy at Yale University supporting the publication of his most recent volume on naval history, “Victory at Sea: Naval Power and the Transformation of the Global Order in World War II.” Despite her American accent, Brigitte is originally from London, England.
