Welcome to "Using ICANN's UDRP."

Using ICANN's UDRP ran from April 21-28, 2000. The Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) is a new procedure for arbitrating domain names disputes, implemented in January by ICANN. The first globally enforceable anti-cybersquatting remedy, the UDRP is also the Internet's first mandatory deliberation mechanism. The series introduced practitioners to UDRP rules and explored the policy's impact on trademark owners and domain name holders.

Faculty included policy drafter Rita Rodin and ICANN counsel Louis Touton.
