WideOpenWest Gains Steam

Denver, Colorado -- WideOpenWest LLC, a start-up outfit determined to compete with AT&T Broadband, is building momentum in two states.

WideOpenWest has signed an agreement to serve Grand Prairie, Texas, with 41,000 households, marking its first move into the Dallas Metroplex.

The company now has three franchises, including a deal with Jefferson County, Colo., the state's largest community and an AT&T
Broadband stronghold with 500,000 residents.

The privately held overbuilder recently signed a 15-year agreement to offer video, high-speed Internet access and phone services to 110,000 households in the Denver suburb of Aurora.
