How many pages should we be assigning per week? Ayalet and I were discussing our portion of the syllabus, and there seemed to be contention. We were throwing around numbers anywhere between 30 and 300. We are tentatively on focusing our readings on abstracts, not necessarily full papers, which would lighten the load significantly, especially as we feel that the important ideas useful for discussion can be taken largely from abstracts.

How do others feel?

What difference does the nature of the reading matter? Novels, for example, lend themselves to a higher page count, no?
