Foreign law is considered to be a matter of fact, and, though the
case is not legal precedent, is it strong evidence that Jon Johansen
did nothing wrong under Norwegian law.  Of course, if the prosecutors
appeal, as they can in Norway, and lose that would be even stronger
evidence.  (And if they win, that would make matters much worse.)

It would seem that if what Johansen did was not illegal in Norway
the DVDCAA's trade secret claim in California would really have
a stake through its heart.
