Student Salon Series: Moral Futurism: Digital Citizenship and the Rights of Youth in the Metaverse and Beyond

The Student Salon Series is a student-led event series bringing Harvard students into dialogue about tech topics, hosted by the Berkman Klein Center.

This inaugural student salon series explores gaps and issues in today’s laws, policies, and product designs that impact the digital rights and freedoms of children and young adults both online and IRL, guided by experts in the field: Jabari Evans and Leah Plunkett. What issues do young adults have with surveillance, inherited moral codes, and social inequity in social media? What types of product designs, policies, and laws impair versus aid digital protections and agency for children, in the metaverse and beyond?

This is an in-person only event limited to Harvard ID card holders. A catered lunch will be provided. An optional networking session will follow the event.
